One Community for All

HMC has been serving the Halton community for over 40 years!   Our dedicated teams of experienced and passionate staff work hard to fulfill HMC’s mission is to help newcomers settle and integrate into a welcoming and inclusive community.  We offer:

  • information,
  • referral,
  • orientation,
  • counselling,
  • English language classes (LINC),
  • employment supports,
  • volunteer opportunities,
  • adult, youth and senior groups and programs,
  • transitional housing, and
  • interpretation/translation.  

For the community we also offer cultural competency training and have worked with the many community agencies to make sure they have the tools and training to work with a variety of cultures.

Our staff of 60 full and part time employees and over 250 volunteers are dedicated to enabling every individual, regardless of race or ethnic origin, to participate as full and active members of the community. We have offices in Burlington, Milton, and Oakville and we serve people from many community locations such as schools, libraries and community centres.
