Are you 15-30 years old, not enrolled in school, and looking for a job? Or are you an employer looking to hire and develop new talent? The HMC Youth Employment Program is designed to connect young job seekers with training and employment while helping employers bring in motivated new team members.

For Youth Participants

Build Skills. Gain Experience. Get Paid to Work.

This program is designed to help you take the next step toward employment through hands-on experience, career support, and a paid work placement with a local employer.

  • Workplace Readiness Training – Develop practical job skills, workplace confidence, and employment strategies to help you succeed.

  • Guaranteed Paid Job Placement – Work for at least 8 weeks with a local employer.
  • Career Support – Get help with resumes, interviews, and workplace success.
  • Build Experience & Connections – Gain valuable skills and start growing your career.

Eligibility:

  • Aged 15-30 years old
  • Not currently in school or working
  • Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or convention refugee,  and legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Able to commit to in-person training in Oakville (4 weeks, 25 hours per week, scheduled sessions), followed by 8 weeks of work placement
  • Eager to acquire new skills and gain valuable experience
  • Applicants should not be enrolled in school for the upcoming September

Note: We kindly suggest that applicants have at least an intermediate level of English to ensure successful completion of the program.
